Targeting Parkinson’s: Advanced α-Synuclein Detection with Biosensis ELISA Kits

Alpha-synuclein is a protein mainly found in the presynaptic terminals of the central nervous system. It can misfold into aggregates and play a significant role in Parkinson’s Disease, dementia, and other neurodegenerative diseases. Biosensis Rapid ELISA kits can accurately measure the monomeric or oligomeric form of α-synuclein in human serum, plasma, CSF, and rat brain.

Accurate quantification of α-synuclein oligomers in human serum as demonstrated by parallelism of diluted plasma to the reference standard curve

Accurate quantification of α-synuclein monomers in human plasma as demonstrated by the parallelism of diluted plasma to the reference standard curve.

Four human serum samples were spiked with a spike of 6 ng/mL. Recoveries of exogenous α-synuclein oligomers were within an acceptable range of 80-120%.

Recoveries of exogenous α-synuclein in five human Citrate plasma samples all within an acceptable range of 80-120%.

Oligomeric Alpha Synuclein Standard Curve. Range: 0.78–50 ng/ml

Sensitivity: ≤ 0.700 pg/mL

Alpha Synuclein Monomer Standard Curve. Range: 0.16 - 10 ng/ml

Sensitivity: < 25 pg/mL
