October Charity

Monday, October 6

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and Hearts of Miromar is honored to shine a light on Partners for Breast Cancer Care. This incredible Southwest Florida nonprofit ensures that uninsured, low-income women and men receive the breast health care they need—all at no cost. From screenings and diagnostic testing to surgery and treatment, Partners for Breast Cancer Care removes financial barriers so patients can focus on what matters most: healing and hope.

Since 2004, Partners for Breast Cancer Care has touched thousands of lives, helping over 13,200 local residents and providing nearly 21,000 lifesaving procedures, with more than $2.8 million in services covered. Their impact goes far beyond medical care—they bring peace of mind, dignity, and comfort during life’s most difficult battles.

Together, let’s wrap our hearts in pink this month and stand with Partners for Breast Cancer Care in their mission to save lives and support our neighbors. 💗

CLUBS and ACTIVITIES

Book Club News

Our October book selection is Gift from the Sea by Anne Morrow Lindbergh, with discussion led by Denise Weiner. Gift from the Sea is a reflective and lyrical work that explores themes of solitude, love, and the complexities of modern life — all beautifully woven through the metaphor of the sea.

Denise encourages you to purchase your own copy so you can jot down thoughts and reflections as you read — this is a book you’ll likely return to again and again for fresh insights over the years.

We’ll meet on Monday, October 27, at 5:30 PM, currently scheduled for the Card Room at the Beach Clubhouse. Please note: the location may change if the clubhouse does not reopen, and we’ll keep you updated.
