ADULT & TEEN PROGRAMS

Lewisboro Community Volunteer Fair
Saturday, March 13, 11:00 am
Via Zoom

Want to help out in our community? The need for adult and teen volunteers is more important than ever during these trying times, so we are taking our Community Volunteer Fair virtual this year!

The annual Lewisboro Community Volunteer Fair matches local organizations with community members who want to volunteer. Usually agencies set up tables at the Library with information on their services and volunteer needs, so people can browse for the best volunteer activity to suit their interest and availability. This year we have to be creative. The Library will be the Zoom host and participating organizations will each have 5 minutes to talk about their group and their volunteer needs. Then we will have a Q & A at the end for the audience to ask questions.

The college admissions process is undergoing significant and lasting changes. We will discuss the holistic review process and focus on the greater consideration admissions officers will give to extracurricular activities due to COVID-19.

We will also discuss the importance of community service, how it can provide an opportunity for personal growth and an opportunity to showcase a student’s character.

The presentation will be led by Ron Feuchs and Jackie Tepper, partners at Stand Out For College, LLC.
