Sea Pines CSA Annual Assessment Reminder

Thank you to all property owners that have remitted their 2023 Annual Assessments on time. The Finance Department began assessing late fees to overdue 2023 balances as of Monday, May 1, 2023. To pay your assessment online, click here.

Sea Pines Drive Phase 3 Infrastructure Improvement Project Update

• Work will be performed Monday - Friday from 7 am - 6 pm. Traffic control will be present in the work zone, as needed.
• Site clean up and restoration is in progress.
• Please observe and obey all traffic management personnel, signage, and devices.

Sea Pines Drive Roadwork In Progress

• Permanent roadway line striping is planned for the end of this week and will continue into next week.
• Single-lane road closures and flagging operations will be in place.
• Please use caution while driving in this area.

Roadway Work on Wagon Road In Progress

• Roadway milling operations on Wagon Road (pictured) are in progress.
• Roadway paving is scheduled to begin Friday, May 12th, weather permitting-through next week.
• Single-lane road closures and flagging operations will be in place.
• Traffic delays expected. Avoid traveling on Wagon Road when possible. 
• No Thru Traffic.

Sea Pines CSA Boardwalk #45 Replacement In Progress

Replacement and construction work on on Boardwalk #45, located between Green Heron Road and Sandhill Crane Road, is in progress. Work will take approximately 2 more weeks, weather permitting.

The beach boardwalk access will be closed to all pedestrian traffic during this time. Please use Beachwalks #44 or #46 as alternate routes to the beach.

Safety Reminder from Sea Pines Security

To prevent opportunities of theft please remember to keep exterior house doors and windows locked at all times and secure your vehicles (lock your doors and roll up your windows) when leaving vehicles unattended.

When you see something that looks out of place, please report it to our Security Department promptly by calling 843.671.7170. The sooner we get the information, the quicker we can assist.

Tree Care Management

Roadside tree trimming will continue along Governors Road next week followed by Pine Island Drive, Wood Duck Road, and Water Oak Drive, weather permitting.

Stormwater Maintenance

Drainage pipe and catch basin cleaning along Whistling Swan Road and Oyster Catcher Road will occur next week, weather permitting.

Stormwater Repair

Ditch cleanout near #75 and #77 Baynard Cove Road is in progress and will continue through next week, weather permitting.

South Island Public Service District Potable Drinking Water Pipeline Upgrade Project

SIPSD, the utility company providing water and wastewater services in Sea Pines, has begun their major infrastructure upgrade and replacement project to their potable water drinking line from Dunnagans Alley to Baynard Park Road, inside of Sea Pines.

SIPSD has provided the following project update:

• SIPSD Water Line installation and boring lateral water lines to residential properties along Plantation Drive is in progress.
• Weather permitting, Wednesday and Thursday of next week, SIPSD will connect the new water line to the existing 8” water main near Greenwood Drive and Plantation Drive near Heritage Farms. Work will occur during overnight hours and will last approximately five hours each night.
• Traffic control will be provided. Please use caution while driving in this area.

May is Hurricane Preparedness Month Get Prepared Now for Hurricane Season

Governor Henry McMaster has proclaimed the month of May to be the first South Carolina Hurricane Preparedness Month. The South Carolina Emergency Management Division, county emergency managers, the National Weather Service along with all members of the State Emergency Response Team urge individuals, businesses and communities to begin preparations ahead of the 2023 Atlantic Hurricane Season. By dedicating an entire month to hurricane preparedness, South Carolinians in all regions of the state have more time to prepare and become aware of the necessary precautions to take.

The theme for the state’s first Hurricane Prep Month is “take the time while you have the time,” meaning this month is an opportunity to see what long-term storm preparations residents can make now to make sure they are finalized and ready at the start of Hurricane Season.

Sea Pines CSA Community Shredding Event

When: Tuesday, May 23, 2023, from 10:00 AM – 12:30 PM

Where: Sea Pines Center Parking Lot, 71 Lighthouse Lane

This event is open to all property owners on a first come, first-serve basis. Please review the following:

• Please do not pull up to the truck and drop bins/bags off, everyone will need to get in line. If you need assistance, please park your car and an attendant will come over.
• Please be prepared with your documents ahead of time. Staples and paper clips may remain on your documents; the documents must be removed from binders.
• Commercial quantities are prohibited.

OneBlood Community Blood Drive

The OneBlood Blood Drive Mobile will be in Sea Pines on Tuesday, May 30th from 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM at the Sea Pines Community Center Parking Lot, 71 Lighthouse Road.
