A Message from Headmaster Scott
Dear Archway Trivium Families,
I love when I get to connect with “my people.” This week I had some great opportunities to connect with some of our scholars. The role of the headmaster requires one to keep a high level view in order to see the entirety of the organization. However, with our leadership team missing two deans this quarter, I have gotten into the nitty gritty more than usual. Many of my discussions with students have been related to behavioral corrections. This may not sound like fun to most, but to be there in those vital moments as a child begins to veer off the path of happiness, to be able to steer him back and help him improve his ways, this is rewarding work.
I have also been able to talk with parents this week. Some of these conversations may be the only ones I have with the parent all school year. I’m honored, and I truly enjoy each opportunity I have to connect and engage with parents over mattes vital to their experience with Archway Trivium. We are not always going to agree, but we will always share a commitment to doing right by the children in our care.
Finally, I’ve been able to have 1-1 time with a few teachers this week as well. We talked about family, health, and the fulfilling work we share. Whether you are a parent, scholar, staff, or teacher, I consider you my people. Thank you for letting me participate in your pursuit of truth, goodness, and beauty.
Heartily Devoted,
Clay Scott
Headmaster

WE NEED YOUR HELP! We are currently at 50% school participation for Tax Credit.
Meeting our Tax Credit goal is imperative for the success of our Field Trips and Extracurricular Programs.
If you have not done so yet, don’t miss your chance to CHOOSE how a portion of your AZ state tax dollars are spent! Re-direct them to Archway Trivium before you file your 2023 AZ state tax return, and when you file, just complete Form 322 so that you can get your $200 or $400 Tax Credit added to your refund (or used to off-set anything you might owe the state if your taxes were underpaid in 2023). It’s that simple!!!
Take the Tax Credit Today!
| |
|
The Trivium Tax Credit Competition is underway! Let's all race to gather the most tax credits for our school. This year we will be raffling off several prizes such as a Meta Quest 2 -128GB Gaming headset and Amazon gift cards to families who participate in the tax credit. Every additional tax credit your family refers to our school will be an additional entry in our raffle. Great thanks to Altered Combat who provided the Meta Quest 2 headset.
Good luck to all participants!

We recommend that your scholars get a good night's sleep the day before and a nutritious breakfast in the morning. Please have students bring the following: a healthy snack and water bottle for the break during testing.
Additionally, all students should bring a set of headphones, as certain parts of the test require audio. These must not be Bluetooth headphones, but be able to connect via an auxiliary cord.

Late Pick-up Policy
We have been doing very well with our on-campus student pick-up and drop-off routines as of late. Every year, it takes a few weeks for us to settle into a routine so that the pickup runs smoothly. Now that pick-up times are running efficiently, we ask parents to ensure they arrive on time to pick up their students.
We will begin enforcing our Late Pick-up Policy on Tuesday, September 5. Please make sure you are arriving within 30 minutes of the end of school to pick up your scholar in order to avoid being charged a late pick-up fee. Parents arriving after this time will be required to sign out their child from the MPR and may be assessed a $2 per minute, per student late fee. All late pick-up fees will be added to your Configio account and are due upon receipt. For more information, please see page 46 of our Family Handbook.
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday - You will be charged from 3:35pm
Wednesday - You will be charged from 1:55pm
Half days - You will be charged from 12:25pm (excludes Half Day Kinder)

School Messenger Communication
Great Hearts and Archway Trivium continue to utilize the system School Messenger for emails, robo-calls, and text messaging to inform families of campus related academy emergencies and other communications. SchoolMessenger has a new automatic opt-in for text feature. During the registration/re-enrollment process families confirmed their wish to participate in text communications. Great Hearts will now automatically opt in contact information given during the registration/re-enrollment process with the options you selected. You will notice at the beginning of July you will be opted in for text messaging. If you would like to opt out of text messages simply reply STOP to the text from 67585. You can also enter the code 67585 with the message STOP to block any text messaging. Please note, if opting out, you will not receive texts regarding emergencies on campus.
Email Communications
If you know of parents who are not receiving these communications, please ask them to check their junk/promotions email folders, and then email bmcdonald@archwaytrivium.org for assistance.
You can also find ALL school-wide communications on our website on the Latest News page.
