| Message from Executive Director, Mary Tellefsen | In Case You Missed It: Lenten Annual Appeal Now Underway | On Ash Wednesday we officially launched our Lenten Annual Appeal, Orange You Committed? 🍊 | Thank you to the many families who have already participated. Because of your generosity, our orange trees are already beginning to grow. Seeing those first oranges appear is a beautiful reminder of what happens when our community comes together in faith and unity. | As we continue our Lenten journey, we invite every Everest family to prayerfully consider participating. Our goal is 100% family participation — not equal gifts, but equal heart. Every gift, no matter the size, is a meaningful sign of unity and support for our mission. | You can follow class participation progress by viewing the tracker — click here or use the gold button below to see how your grade is doing and help move your class forward. | As an added incentive, each homeroom that reaches 100% participation will receive a special Ice Cream Sundae Bar celebration. 🍨 | And don’t forget — every family who participates is entered into a raffle to win a vacation to Margaritaville Orlando. 🌴 | Thank you for your continued partnership, generosity, and commitment to Everest Academy. Together, we are growing something beautiful. | | Messsage from Principal Hamilton | | As we come to the end of another term, I would like to take a moment to remind you of our school's Missing Assignment Policy to ensure all students stay on track with their academic goals. | The general policy for missing assignments is as follows: | -
Point Deductions: For every day an assignment is missing due to an unexcused absence (or after the allotted time for an excused absence), points will be deducted as determined by the teacher. Typically, one letter grade is deducted for each day an assignment is late (e.g., 1 day late reduces a 100% to 90%). An assignment is considered late if it is not turned in at the start of the class period.
| -
Study Hall: Missing assignment reports are generated every morning. Students with outstanding work will be required to attend either morning or afternoon recess study hall to complete their assignments.
| -
Additional Support: If an assignment remains missing after 3 days, students will be offered the opportunity to complete it with assistance from Mrs. Hamilton during a 7:00 a.m. session the following morning. This support is designed to help students earn at least a passing grade.
| -
Final Deadline: After 10 days, a grade of zero will be issued, and the assignment can no longer be submitted for credit.
| Teachers may amend these policies in the event of extenuating circumstances. Thank you for your partnership in helping our students grow in responsibility and accountability. | Speaking of responsibility, congratulations to our February Knights of Virtue who exemplified the virtue of RESPONSIBILITY through their virtuous example of taking ownership of their actions, accepting consequences, and fulfilling their duties and obligations. | Congratulations to our 5th/6th and 7th/8th boys for a terrific basketball season. It was especially exciting to see our 5th/6th team make it to the semi-finals. I am looking forward to co-ed volleyball and soccer beginning in just a few weeks. Go Knights! | Lastly, as we continue our Lenten journey, please consider joining us for Stations of the Cross this Friday at 2:30pm and participating in our school Lenten service project, Buckets of Hope. Your presence and generosity help our students see faith in action. | Rejoicing in gratitude for God's blessings, | | During assembly, we kicked off our countdown to our Fun Run, happening next Friday, March 13th. Thank you to the parents who are adding to the fun by decorating classroom doors - we are so grateful for your creativity and support! And thank you to the families who have already secured pledges and earned the privilege of wearing PJs today! The excitement is building! | | 🚗 Parking Spot Auction – St. Patrick’s Day! 🍀 | Mark your calendar for Tuesday, March 17 at 8:15am and get ready to bid for one of our exclusive parking spots! | This fun St. Patrick’s Day tradition gives families the chance to secure a prime parking space while supporting our school community.
