But when we go out to Nature we often spontaneously feel an underlying sense of peace. The rhythm of a rippling brook, or the sound of wind in the trees, or the cheerful crackle of fire in a hearth all carry that sense of peace...We become aware that we are not only in a place where things are green, but also that Nature encompasses the landscape, the seascape, and the skyscape of all of Earth and the living universe.

- Dora Kunz and Dolores Krieger, The Spiritual Dimension of Therapeutic Touch

Above: Dr. Dolores (Dee) Krieger (co-founder of TT) and Dr. Otelia Bengtsson sitting under the apple tree at Pumpkin Hollow Retreat Center. Dr. Bengtsson shared how Dora would spend time with patients receiving methotrexate for cancer in the 1950s.

Thank you to Shelley for sharing this story and photo!
