The Bixby community is invited to the first “Brag on Bixby” special event on Thursday, January 19, at 7:00 p.m. The event provides a unique opportunity for Bixby residents to meet with city officials and leaders in the community, hear about upcoming events and have the opportunity to submit questions.
Attending will be:
· Mayor - Brian Guthrie
· Chief of Police - Todd Blish
· Fire Chief – Mike Butler
· School Superintendent – Rob Miller
· and other city leaders!
The event was created by Orlando Juarez, senior pastor at The Bridge Church in Bixby.
“I wanted to provide a forum for people to come and meet some of our city leaders and have the chance for social engagement within the community. We have some great things happening in Bixby. Like all communities, we have areas that still need change. And we have upcoming events that many may not know about. It’s an opportunity for the people of Bixby to meet and hear from our officials and learn of important projects in one event as well as connect with all the areas that affect our families and community,” stated Juarez as to why and how he came up with the idea.
Please join us to support our city, learn what is upcoming and how we can work together to create a great community for our families and businesses.
The event will be held at The Bridge, 7731 E 119th Dr, 74008, (located behind Jimmy’s Egg), and is open to the community. Refreshments will be served. There is no charge for this event.
