Keeping you connected with news, stories and information about Energy Alberta and the proposed Peace River Nuclear Power Project.

This spring and summer, the Energy Alberta team has travelled across the Peace Region, attending local events, celebrating community traditions and connecting with residents as planning continues for the Peace River Nuclear Power Project.

The Peace Regional Energy Alliance (PREA), released its Position Paper on the potential advancement of nuclear energy development in Alberta. PREA formally supports advancing nuclear energy development in Northwestern Alberta and stands ready to act as the unified regional voice in partnership with government, industry, and communities.

Water is one of our most important natural resources - and protecting it is central to how Energy Alberta is approaching the proposed Peace River Nuclear Power Project.

From early planning through to operations, careful water management will be built into every step, with a clear focus on safeguarding the Peace River watershed and the communities and ecosystems that depend on it.
