As you know, VM III requires that you have your citrus picked by April 30th of each year. The gardener/company that you choose to perform that, is your choice. If, however, you're at a loss regarding whom to call, we are sharing the name of a non-profit organization that can assist.
"Be Fruitful" is a locally based non-profit organization that gleans and distributes the fruit. Citrus does not wind up in a local landfill; rather, it is shared with the underserved. Cash donations are accepted.
Jodi Floyd, Be Fruitful's Founder,
Offered the Following
Because the organization is not-for-profit, you can get a tax donation receipt for the citrus donated and any monetary donations (checks or cash) made to Be Fruitful. Proceeds go to operations, gas, water, and a small stipend for those volunteers/missionaries that can use it. Also, on occasion, a lunch is offered to the missionaries who volunteer.
