Greetings from C. Darby Ulery, founder of "Let's Go! Fairhope," events-related newsletter, calendar and website resource for Fairhope, Alabama.

Happy Father's Day to all the dads and father-figures out there. I hope you'll reply and share your plans.

In addition to the ideas submitted in previous newsletters, Tania Cooper said they're serving up steaks and fried catfish, sides and dessert for just $25 at Clovis Cafe over on Boothe Road in honor of the dads. Now open til 7PM on Fridays, event space is available for birthdays, family reunions, fundraisers, office gatherings and more.

• Tuesday morning: Watch the all-women Air Race Classic 2025 pilots take off from the H.L. Sonny Callahan airport in Fairhope at 8 AM. If you missed last week's event news article, find it here.

• Thursday: City of Fairhope offices will be closed in observance of Juneteenth.

• Friday is the summer solstice, aka. the longest daylight day of the year and the commencement of summer for us here in the northern hemisphere.

• Saturday: Juneteenth Celebration at the Rotary Youth Club - AND - "Dance Like it's 1945" with the Baldwin Pops Ovation Gala fundraiser at the Fairhope Civic Center.

Thank you to the Reserve at Fairhope for letting us know about the "Antiques and Heirlooms" event taking place NEXT Wednesday, June 25. Find participation info below.

The League of Women Voters of Baldwin County also reached out about their upcoming event scheduled for 6 PM on the same date: Public Forum: Disinformation - A Threat to our Democracy? A Conversation to be held at the Fairhope United Methodist Church on June 25.

A sneak-peak rehearsal video for The Marvelous Wonderettes was posted to the Theatre 98 Facebook page this week. It looks like another big hit! Many seats have already sold for each performance beginning in July, but you can still find a few here.

THANK YOU to everyone who is already supporting this local events-news resource project and making it happen. We are thrilled to have over 1,200 weekly email subscribers and 700-800 weekly visits to the website.

We can't continue to do this without readers and community members like YOU who are following and submitting information and financial support. Please help us continue the community events-related information project here.
