"Nuclear Disarmament for Humanitarian Needs: Empowering Individuals, Cities, and Governments"
August 4th, 2025 at 10:00 AM ET.
In honor of the 80th anniversary of the Hiroshima and Nagasaki atomic bombings, Pathways To Peace will hold a conference "Nuclear Disarmament for Humanitarian Needs: Empowering Individuals, Cities, and Governments" on August 4th, 2025 at 10:00 AM ET.
The conference will examine and honor the anniversaries, how nuclear disarmament can support humanitarian needs, the role of cities in nuclear disarmament policy, action steps that individuals can make, and the humanitarian impact of nuclear weapons. Testimonies from an atomic bombing survivor, the Mayor of Hiroshima, and other statements from other distinguished speakers will be made. The general public, activists, civil society, policymakers, and academic experts are invited to attend.
We recently received confirmation that the Mayor of Hiroshima will be one of our speakers and we are looking forward to announcing more.
