Perhaps if you've been traveling this summer, you haven't seen our completed accessible walkway on Church Street! | | July 30, 2026 | Trinity Episcopal Church, Staunton, Virginia | | |
Yesterday was our last Mass on the Grass of the season! Thank you to everyone who played music, who brought meals, and those who simply attended. With the conclusion of Mass on the Grass, our Midday Healing Eucharist service returns—Wednesdays at 12:15 pm, join us for a service centered on healing the mind, body, and spirit.
On Thursday, August 6, we'll have a Eucharist for the Feast of the Transfiguration at 5:30 pm.
On Sunday, August 9, bring your backpack to church! We're blessing backpacks at the 10:30 service. Later that day, we'll have our next Game Gathering. The last one was a great success! We hope even more people will come snack and game together this time around.

There is a pancake breakfast in McCracken Hall on August 23. That feels like the right place to start. The breakfast falls in the middle of Discovery Sundays, three mornings set aside to look at the many ways to get involved at Trinity. They're at 9:15 am on August 16, 23, and 30.
The first is about study and formation, small groups, and the work that keeps things running. The second is about how we care for one another and how we serve beyond our doors (also about pancakes). The third turns to the ministries of worship, from the altar guild to the choir to the folks handing you a bulletin.
| | SUPPLIES FOR BESSIE WELLER | | Through Sunday, August 9, we're collecting classroom supplies, glue sticks, and hand sanitizer for Bessie Weller Elementary. Donations can be left at the front of the church on Sunday morning or brought by the church office during the week. | | |
In the spring and summer, Cheer Shepard organizes the weekly produce donations from the Staunton Farmers Market and makes many of the pickups himself, bringing fresh local food to our kitchen for Noon Lunch. That way, the lunch crews have good, fresh produce to cook with for our guests. Most weeks, you’ll find his wife, Mary Beth, in the office, helping out with whatever the day brings. Mary Beth has a way of putting things in perspective, a reminder that the thing you’re worried about probably doesn’t matter as much as you think. She brings a levity to the office that makes the day go easier.

Know someone who keeps things running behind the scenes and deserves a moment of recognition? Tell Katie so we can feature them. We have a lot of people to thank!
