Where did you work/what did you do prior to coming to WHIRC?
I was working at Liberty Paper for a year after leaving the military. Prior to that, I was a medic in the Minnesota Army National Guard for 13 years and was the Troop Medical Center Manager. Before my time with the Minnesota Guard, I spent 3 years with ADT Security as an Installation and Service Technician.
What are you looking forward to while working at WHIRC?
I am looking forward to working with a different team dynamic and working with the team to see what improvements we can make. Coming from a military background, I am excited to expand my leadership skills with a civilian team and the new challenges it brings.
Is there any technology you are interested in learning about?
There is so much I am learning right now and it is all interesting! But I am finding the many different and new ways of communicating with the customers and their devices the most interesting.
What are some of your hobbies/things you like to do for fun?
I like to skiing and snowboard with my family, mountain biking, and I still play in a recreational hockey league.
Chris joined WHRIC on April 24 and supervises the WHIRC alarm monitoring center and security dispatchers.
