This Sunday - 21st Sunday after Pentecost

Jesus said, "Show me the coin used for the tax.” And they brought him a denarius. Then he said to them, “Whose head is this, and whose title?” They answered, “The emperor’s.”

Jesus said to them, “Give therefore to the emperor the things that are the emperor’s, and to God the things that are God’s.”

Urgent Request from our partners at Church World Services - Halloween Costumes & Candy

This week, we received a request from Marina, The Case Worker from CWS overseeing Ukrainian refugee families in Northern NJ, she wrote:

Dear Reverend Michael,

We are deeply grateful for all the help your church collected last year for Church World Service refugee families. Your support meant so much to our clients.

Now, on the eve of the holidays, we are collecting Halloween costumes and sweets for the children, so they can feel good and participate in school and community events.

We would be very grateful if your parish could help us again with new or used costumes of any size.

With sincere gratitude,

Marina

Please bring costumes and candy to church over the next two Sundays and we will get the donations to CWS before Halloween.

Today - The feast day of St. Theresa of Avila

Today, the feast of St. Theresa of Avila, marks the 10th anniversary of the Reception of my Holy Orders into the Episcopal Church. I am profoundly grateful for the goodness and loving kindness that God has had on me and the continued faithfulness and generosity of the parishioners and friends of St. Peter's. I pray this day, through the intercession of St. Theresa, that the Lord may give me a share in His Spirit that I might serve Him, my family and all of you with gladness and singleness of heart. Peace and blessings, Fr. Michael
