Dear AltaMed Employee,
AltaMed is committed to providing a safe environment for both our patients and our employees and that includes keeping you up-to-date with current federal, state, and local guidelines.
The California Department of Public Health (CDPH) has issued a travel advisory for Californians encouraging residents to stay at home and avoid non-essential travel. For those who do travel, they will need to be assessed by AltaMed Employee Health upon return and may be required to self-quarantine for 14 days upon their return. While the holiday season is traditionally a time to enjoy with family in person, this year we are asked to express our caring for our family members by keeping them safe and remaining physically apart when not part of the same household.
Based on this guidance:
-
AltaMed strongly discourages travel, especially out of state, until this advisory has been lifted.
-
For those employees who travel, they are instructed to contact Employee Health upon return. AltaMed and Employee Health will be following CDPH guidance regarding quarantine. AltaMed will continue following this guidance until lifted by the state and we've flattened the curve of the recent surge.
As a reminder, the leave granted by the California Emergency Paid Sick Leave program is a one-time grant. Once the hours are depleted, employees must either use PTO or inquire about eligibility for another form of leave.
Thank you for all you to help keep each other and our patients safe.
