Based on James Bidgood’s Pink Narcissus, this experimental film blends together haunting historical narrative and COVID-19 era reality of Bangkok’s infamous red light district. News & Announcements
We will be drawing from live male models in a variety classical poses and highly graphic depictions of homoerotic nudity and sex.

We will be outside at TOM House AND online!
Kink Out is a bi-coastal collective that unites people of diverse identities with lived experience in BDSM culture through art, activism, community organizing, and conversation.

“Kink Out: Ephemera” is co-organized with kd Diamond and Daphne aka EthicalDrvgs in collaboration with The Carter/Johnson Library and Collection.
Just as the emerging Gay rights movement started gathering momentum in the United States in the 1960s, a Finnish illustrator captured the community’s newfound self-confidence in his works: Tom of Finland’s pornographic drawings of hyper-masculine bikers, cowboys and sailors did away with the age-old stereotypical depiction of the homosexual man as an effeminate dandy.
Tom’s work was dismissed as cheap smut for much of his career, but it’s been posthumously reclaimed and preserved by fashion designers as an important part of the Queer art canon. The idea that someone might want to cloak themselves in kitsch illustrations of swollen nipples and pendulous appendages has become significantly less risqué.
