We moved to Huntsville in 1984 from Tuscaloosa - I was excited to answer yes to a job move that also allowed us be right here as my step-daughters grew up. Very quickly Huntsville became home and we visited Trinity. People were genuinely welcoming and friendly. I began to see the light shining through in the people, the classes, programs, and support of local missions.
One really BIG light I must mention: the agency Free2Teach - co-founded by my friend Eula Sammons Battle in 2011 – Eula was one of the first people I met in Huntsville. She had an equal passion for teaching and the well-being of teachers. Free2Teach makes such a difference as a sustainable resource for teachers to provide NEEDED supplies for the classrooms.
Eula’s passion is a reminder to me of the lasting good we do can continue long after we are gone. Being able to give back through the ministries of Trinity not only through our regular giving but through gift that can create a lasting legacy. If you are interested in learning more about Legacy Giving reach out to one of our pastors.
Find your passion, find your place and commitment – I promise you, that you will find others with the same interests and the lights in your world WILL brighten. Our passion for giving back into the world keeps us going and growing and reaching out in our community.
My life is full because Trinity enhanced Christ’s LIGHT in my life.
