Volunteers & Sponsors Request:

ME Bioscience Day

Call for volunteers for the week of November 17, 2025.

BioME's 10th annual ME Bioscience Day will take place throughout the week of November 17, 2025. This is a statewide event that aims to get middle school students excited about science and inform them of the opportunities that they might have working in a science-related field in their future.

Volunteers are asked to visit a local middle school to talk about your career and conduct a hands-on activity. We are planning to have activity kits if you'd rather not prepare your own.

If you are unable to volunteer, but would still like to be involved, we encourage you to become a ME Bioscience Day supporter! Sponsorships allow us to reach more schools and provide materials for hands-on activities. Your logo will be displayed to thousands of middle school students and their teachers across the state. Sponsorship Cost: $400.

If you are interested in this effort and would like to devote a few hours and give back to the community, now is the time to register. P.S. You don't need to be a science expert to volunteer! Please email Billie Cary at education@mainebioscience.org with interest.
