JULY 2024 Arts are big business—

The nation’s arts and culture sector was a $1.1 trillion industry in 2022 that supported 5.2 million jobs, according to the annual data released by the Bureau of Economic Analysis. The data proves arts are big business and a growth industry in the U.S. The figures represent 4.3% of the nation’s economy—a larger share of GDP than powerhouse sectors such as Transportation, Construction, Education, and Agriculture.

In Placer County, the arts had a $26.1 million dollar impact in 2022! As we celebrate our country's history, we celebrate the importance of the arts in our economy, and to the well being of our communities.
