Réverb University Student Group in Grenoble

Upon my return to France in February, I've been actively participating in our SFC (Students for Christ) Group called Réverb. Getting to meet the students whom the Lord keeps adding to our numbers is really exciting.

In March, Chi Alpha missions teams came. from Boston, Massachusetts, North Carolina and Florida. Not only do these Chi Alpha groups get to know and work with one another at times, but they also get to meet and interact with university students in Grenoble from all parts of the world.

Perret Tower located in the Paul Mistral Park, is one of Grenoble's most distinctive landmarks. It's 95 meters high with the tip reaching over 100 meters. Built in 1924-1925, its architect was Auguste Perret. It was built as the main symbol of the 1925 International Exhibition of Hydropower and Tourism in Grenoble.

It has been closed to the public for more than 60 years. However, it has been undergoing major restoration and will be reopening to visitors on July 11, 2026.

Étincelle - Strasbourg, France

February 6-8

Étincelle means "spark" in English. We chose it as the title of a training weekend to begin a student group. We believe that as we visit students interested in reaching students on their campuses with the gospel, the spark of the Holy Spirit will spread like a fire from student to student.

Our first "Etincelle" was offered in Strasbourg. We had a team of students and leaders from SFC France and SFC Belgium come to lead worship, teach about small groups, prayer walk the campus, and testify as to how student ministry has impacted their lives.

We are looking forward to what God will do with the handful of students who came and participated. We're offering a follow-up meeting by Zoom called "La Suite". The first "La Suite" was an encouragement to the student who came.

Assemblies of God of France Conference - Montluçon, France

March 23-26

Here I am at the annual Assemblies of God of France conference. This year marked a special benchmark for university ministry in France. SFC Europe (Students for Christ) has been asked to partner with MOOV, the youth movement of the AG of France. Nicole Herrero, my colleague in Nice, has been appointed as the coordinator of MOOV Étudiants. Nicole was presented at a session in the general assembly. Everything is official now. We had a booth where we could speak to pastors and give them vital information for beginning a student group.

France Field Retreat - Nice, France

April 16-19

Our retreat was held in the beautiful, Mediterranean city of Nice. Pastor Pierre Fauchy at Église Nice Métropole hosted us. We were blessed by the ministry of Pastor Jon Susa. Both our France Field and Western Europe directors were present with us, Manuel and Tina Prabudhas and Mark and Dalene Good.

We had several meals together by the seashore. We also had free time to discover the old city of Nice, have some delicious coffee, and eat Italian gelato. It was a great balance of physical and spiritual refreshment.
