Job Shadowing Day

All current DACC Students will not be reporting to school on March 3, 2023. Students will have the opportunity to complete the following:

  • Job shadowing in their chosen career field or
  • Complete online remote learning assignments

Anyone participating in a job shadowing experience should fill out the appropriate forms that will be distributed by CTE Instructors. Lab instructors will be assisting students with job shadowing placements. Students should complete a job shadowing experience for a minimum of three hours which equates to their time in lab for attendance purposes. If your student only attends half-day, the job shadowing experience can only be during the duration of the lab, unless you are granted permission from your home school to attend the job shadowing experience all day.

Please note that full-day students will still be responsible for completing alternative assignments for academics if they choose to job shadow all day.

All job shadowing forms are due to your student’s instructor(s) no later than February 17, 2023. Access the DACC Job Shadowing Form here.

All online remote learning assignments are due to instructors no later than March 6, 2023.

Failure to return the required assignments or proof of job shadowing would mean that the day of school missed will be counted as an unexcused absence.

We are proud of our programs and believe that we offer unique and valuable educational options for area students. We appreciate your support of this important endeavor.

Grief Support at DACC

Is your child dealing with the pain of losing a loved one? They are not alone. Students can join peers for grief support this spring. Ohio Health Hospice counselors facilitate this process to our DACC students and will be conducting 6-8 short, small group sessions during school starting mid-February.

Interested students, please contact your DACC school counselor by February 10, 2023, or email Tamara Fitzharris at FitzharrisT@DelawareAreaCC.org to learn more or to sign up for this service.
