Saving Lives ~ SOS provided medical resources to help open a clinic that will treat hundreds of children and families in a rural community in Uganda. So many of the families in this region have lost children due to lack of medical care. Denise Sears, president of SOS, says, "As a mother who has lost a child, I understood their pain, and we must do what we can to provide the help they need to give these children a fighting chance."
Within a week of opening, the first precious baby girl was born healthy and safe in the new clinic! YOUR support of SOS, has given children previously destined to die a fighting chance to survive and thrive!
Changing Lives ~ Because of your support, SOS was able to help our West Louisville partner, Healthcare Essentials Training Institute, open the first Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Training Program in one of the most vulnerable areas of Louisville. Residents in this area (as in many underserved communities we serve) have little-to-no accessible training opportunities.
Your support directly helps students like Turahnna (pictured) have access to training to take that first step to fulfill their dreams of beginning a career in healthcare!
