EARLY KINDERGARTEN STEAM CLASS AT WORK
After reading the story, Bonaparte Falls Apart by Margery Cuyler, Early Kindergarten students learned about bones in the body and symmetry. Early Kindergarteners then had the challenge of putting Bonaparte back together using Q-tips and playdough.

GRADE 4 VISITS SANTA BARBARA MUSEUM OF ART

Last Tuesday, fourth grade students enjoyed their annual Santa Barbara Museum of Art field trip. They explored portraiture, delving into identity concepts and various art styles. Students also engaged in a fun-filled Greek black-figure ceramic art activity to tie their portraiture exploration together.

LOLA KEECH '28 INTERVIEWS JANE LYNCH
After a run-in with Montecito's Jane Lynch in a store in Oxford, England over the summer, Lola Keech '28 jumped at the opportunity to pick her brain about acting, theater, and Shakespeare, and set up an interview. Way to go, Lola!

The students from the TEDx Laguna Blanca team are still accepting speaker suggestions for their TEDx Spark event on January 31, 2024. They are looking for speakers in the following categories: STEM, MultiCultural Perspectives, Health and Wellness, and Arts/Performance. Laguna Blanca acknowledges Chumash Nation's territory, pays respects to Indigenous caretakers, and recommends books by divisions to celebrate Native American Heritage Month. Diverse libraries and literature are vital as we learn about the world and its cultures.

At lunchtime, students will enjoy Halloween treats supplied by the Family Association in the MS Quad and Merritt Patio. A panel of celebrity faculty members will oversee the costume contest for US students, while the Middle School pumpkin carving competition will be evaluated by the Upper School Student Council.

FOOTBALL TEAM MAINTAINS PERFECT SEASON AFTER HOMECOMING WIN
Our Owls remain undefeated with a 7-0 win for the season—a first in Laguna Blanca's history—following a 52-12 victory over United Christian Academy on Saturday. A big shout-out to the entire football team and the coaches for their successful season, which wraps up this Friday with an away game against Santa Clara. Go Owls!
