Dear Members,
As we begin 2025, we find ourselves at a pivotal moment for Canadian tourism. Prime Minister Trudeau's resignation announcement and Parliament's prorogation until March 24th have created a dynamic political landscape. The upcoming Liberal leadership race, concluding March 9th, provides an immediate opportunity to advance tourism's priorities, and we are actively engaging with all candidates to ensure our sector's vital role is understood and supported.
Long before these political developments, TIAC recognized the need for a more unified approach to communicate our story to Canadians. Our new narrative project t will help us articulate not just our economic contributions, but how tourism enriches Canadians' daily lives, supports skills development, drives economic diversification, and enhances Canada's global reputation.
