A Word from Our Pastor
The Psalms are filled with verses like Psalm 135:3 where it says, "Praise the Lord, for the Lord is good; sing praises to His name, for it is pleasant." The parallelism suggests that the Lord Himself is pleasant. Regardless of how our culture views God and regardless of the circumstances of our lives, the pleasantness of God is an attribute that never changes. God is always good, and it is always good to praise Him.

I hope you will join us this Sunday as we praise the Lord together. While many will understandably try to squeeze in one more weekend away before school starts, if you are in town, why not use this first Sunday of August to commit to making Bible study and worship at Parkview a part of your weekend routine? We believe it will bring added life and purpose to the rhythms of work, school, and rest.

We will be wrapping up our series in Hebrews this month, so don't miss out on the last few lessons from this book. I hope to see you at 9:30 or 11:00 this Sunday. If you are traveling, you can join us virtually on our Facebook page or Youtube channel.

Make sure you scroll down to see all of the events at Parkview, as well as, any schedule updates to our existing programs. If you have any questions, please call the church office at 386-752-0681 or email at office@pbclc.com.

Sincerely,

Pastor Mike
We All Grow Better In Relationships
We know the phrase "doing life together" can sound somewhat cliche, but we really believe that's what the New Testament church looked like and we're trying to live that out today.

Our whole vision is driven by three words, Believe. Belong. Become. When it comes to the idea of belonging, we encourage everyone to be a part of a Life Group. In this small group environment, we have the opportunity to study the scriptures together, build relationships together, and ultimately do life together.

If you aren't part of a Life Group, we would love to help you connect to the right class!

Volunteer Spotlight: Griffin Roberts
"I love our pastors!"

Grayson was born and raised in Lake City. He is thirteen years old and in 8th grade at Lake City Middle School. In his free time, he enjoys playing sports, especially soccer. He also participates in FFA and serves as President in his school’s Student Government. His favorite book is Diary of a Wimpy Kid.

He has been attending Parkview since 2015, along with his parents, Josh Roberts and Kristin Roberts, and twin brother Grayson. On Sunday mornings, Grayson attends a Life Group for middle school boys and then attends worship service with his family. He is an active student volunteer and serves with Vacation Bible School and Upward Basketball. When school is out, he often helps his “Pappaw”, Mark Nodes, with projects around the church campus, During the Covid pandemic, he and Grayson helped serve meals to senior adults at our drive-thru lunches. When asked why he serves, he said “It’s always fun!"
