A Message from Buildings and Grounds
As ESC continues to move into a vibrant and exciting future, the refurbished Parish Hall, Lynnhaven Room, four bathrooms and Front Office all now have one thing in common - the institutional cinderblock walls in these public spaces have all been finished in painted smooth plaster. Funding for this completed work has come from generous parishioner donations through the Building for the Future Fund. The last remaining public space with cinderblock walls is the main hallway.
An opportunity has arisen during the last two weeks of December, while school is in recess, to upgrade this area with plaster to make an even more welcoming first impression on visitors, new members and prospective PDS families. I invite any so inclined to join me in making a donation to the Building for the Future Fund for this project, which will cost approximately $25,000. Please designate your fully tax-deductible gift to the “Main Hallway Renovation”.
Respectfully,
Bruce Gallup, B&G Chair

Sacred Ground at ESC
Sunday Evenings via Zoom | Starting Oct. 4
Sacred Ground is coming to Eastern Shore Chapel! This series, developed by the Episcopal Church, is a combination of videos and assigned readings each week that deal with racial relations. Many who have participated have said that it can be a life changing experience, with comments like “I never knew that” or “I was never taught that”. This timely series is spirit-filled with informative film and reading-based dialogue focusing on race and grounded in faith.
Meetings (eleven sessions total) will be held every Sunday starting October 4 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM via Zoom. If you are interested in participating in this program, contact The Rev. Carter Sinclair at 757-376-8984 or sinclair.carter@gmail.com. For more information on Sacred Ground go to: https://episcopalchurch.org/sacred-ground/about.
