City Council Election News, Legislative Session Kicks Off, Apartment City USA Updates, and More!

Here are some of the stories we are following this week. Connect with us on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram for up-to-the-minute news.

  • It’s time once again for another 5-year plan from the City of Colorado Springs. They welcome public input on their latest plan, so feel free to participate if you’d like.

  • Every Colorado Springs City Council seat is up for grabs in April of this year. You are welcome to run for a seat if you wish. The municipal election will be held on April 1.

  • Current Colorado Springs City Councilwoman Michelle Talarico will not run for reelection for her Colorado Springs City Council District 3 seat. Councilmembers Randy Helms and Mike O’Malley will also not be running for reelection.

  • Colorado has decreased dramatically in popularity as a state for relocation. This decrease in people moving here coincides with the Polis administration and radical leftist democrat dominance in the state. Sadly, those who are already here are stuck with it unless we can escape.

  • Governor Polis has announced a $700,000 grant to manage the Fountain Creek Watershed. Taxpayer-funded COVID relief money will be used for this grant.

  • Colorado Springs ranks 3rd in Colorado as the city with the most cars stolen. Of course, Denver, being the Toilet City that it is, ranks number one.

  • It appears that the quest to make our city into Apartment City USA has met reality, and the reality bubble is bursting. Pikes Peak Regional Building has seen a huge drop in requests to build apartments.

  • Public vagrancy has increased by 30% in 2024. You get more of what you subsidize, and the government keeps rewarding this irresponsible, uncivil behavior.

  • Vagrancy among families with children has increased by 134% in the previous year. Could it be that trafficking millions of illegal immigrants into Colorado is how the government made this happen? How much will they loot us taxpayers to “solve” this problem that they intentionally created?

  • Aurora Mayor Mike Coffman is speaking out about the illegal immigrant problems in his city. It appears Denver Mayor Mike Johnston intentionally schemed to push illegal immigrants he invited to Denver into Aurora. It’s all planned destruction of your state folks. All while handing you the bill.

  • Meanwhile, Denver Mayor Mike Johnston is more than happy to lose federal funding in order to keep these illegal immigrants in Denver and elsewhere throughout the state. When they clearly show you their priorities, believe them.

  • All of this illegal immigrant madness begs a very important question: If our servants in government at all levels refuse to obey federal law, why should we?

  • The Colorado legislature now wants to make trash service more expensive by micromanaging landfills. Making things cost more so they can feel superior is all these bureaucrats know how to do.

  • Would you believe us if we told you that government nannycrats micro-meddling in the relationship between tenants and landlords has failed spectacularly? It’s true!

  • Pueblo's government wants more money from their citizens, so they are considering a grocery tax, as well as other additional taxes. Remember, you don’t need your money. The government needs it.

  • The Colorado General Assembly session kicks off this week, and that only means bad news for taxpayers. As usual, your rights and your income will be under attack. The legislature has a $700 million deficit of its own making that it will loot taxpayers to fill. They are also planning to address the democrat party practice of having a candidate run for a seat, and then immediately resigning that seat so that someone worse can be installed by the democrat party leadership.

  • Some elected Republicans are refusing to certify the November election, based on the fact that Secretary of State Jena Griswold published voting machine passwords online for months. Attorney General, and now democrat candidate for governor Phil Weiser refused to enforce the law and prosecute Griswold for this incompetent dereliction of duty. Laws are only for the little people.

  • If you would like to help support us in our mission as government watchdogs by becoming a Newsletter Sponsor, we are offering two sponsorships for each weekly newsletter, at the nominal cost of $100 each. Funds raised from these sponsorship opportunities will help us to keep looking out for taxpayers.

Here are some upcoming meetings in the area. We hope you can attend one or more! If there are other public meetings you’d like to see announced here, please drop us a line. We are happy to include them in an upcoming newsletter. These might be government-related, candidate, or elected official meetings. Thanks!
