“Christ at the Pool of Bethesda,” by Artus Wolffort

This Sunday Rev. Dr. Peter Bynum

will preach a sermon entitled "Do You Want to be Made Well?"

based on John 5:1-9.

Join us in worship at 10 am.

You can join us in person or via livestream

on Facebook, YouTube, or our Livestream page.

In Our Prayers

We share the joy of two families in our congregation that have welcomed new babies:

  • Elizabeth Bell Williams and her husband Tyler Williams had a baby boy on Wednesday, May 14th. His name is James Royle Williams. Susan and Sam Bell are the happy grandparents.

  • Rob and Johanna Hanley welcomed son Arthur Thomas Hanley on Friday, May 16th. Arthur is the grandson of Jim and Heidi Hanley and Paul and Karen Isaac.

In much sadder news, our hearts are heavy after the tragic death of a toddler in our community. The Giancoli's, who lost little June on May 15th, are part of our LAC Preschool family, and we would like to surround our teachers, administrators, students, and parents with our prayers for comfort and care in this time of intense grief.

Do you have a prayer request to share with our LAC community? Call our prayer line at (914) 834-1800, ext. 342.

Progressive Dinner!

A wonderful time was had by all!

What a special night to share with friends old and new! This "dinner party with a twist" is in its second year and remains a special evening and a renewed LAC tradition. We hope to see many of you again next Spring.

For now, we would be remiss not to thank Pat Allen and Alexandra Leclere for their time, talent, and dedication in coordinating the dinner, the guests, and the hosts!

A special thank you to the Douds, Towles, Widners, Grays, and Bynums for opening their homes to host. Last but not least, thank you to everyone who spent the evening with us and contributed to making it a special event.

Special Announcement: Phishing Email Circulating

This week it came to our attention that a ghosted email account purporting to be from Rev. Bynum sent solicitations to several of our members. The email was a ruse to obtain donated gift cards from the recipients. If you receive such a message, please be aware that it is not authentic and certainly not from Rev. Bynum.

It bears repeating that neither of our pastors nor any other church staff member would make a request of this type. If you receive this email please mark it junk mail and delete it promptly. Do not click on any links or reply to sender. Going forward, should you ever receive an email from the church that seems random or confusing, please give us a call to check on its validity.

After worship on Sunday, June 1st John Sykes V will host a pancake breakfast in Carhart Hall as a fundraiser for his Eagle Project, which involves the refurbishment of Memorial Garden. The anticipated work will include power washing the stones, mulching the existing path, repainting of the wrought-iron fencing, and fabrication of six new benches for peaceful reflection and use during memorial services. All are welcome to join us for breakfast to celebrate our LAC community and Memorial Garden!
