Blanchard Valley Health System Presents Video Documenting “Ring of Remembrance" Memorial Dedication Ceremony

Blanchard Valley Health System (BVHS) recently hosted a dedication ceremony unveiling the “Ring of Remembrance: COVID-19 Pandemic Memorial,” located just outside the east entrance of the Donnell Pavilion at Blanchard Valley Hospital. A video encapsulating this dedication ceremony has been made available to the public, for those unable to attend the event. You can view the video here.

“This memorial is not only important to our health system but also to the community because it is in honor of all of those affected by the pandemic,” said Myron Lewis, president and chief executive officer of BVHS. “We encourage everyone to take a moment and view this special presentation, as this impactful, special ceremony served as an opportunity for many to grieve, remember, reflect, and honor the many lives forever affected by COVID-19.”

This video features the accounts and personal experiences shared by the presenters at the dedication ceremony, which includes BVHS healthcare providers as well as a family member who lost a loved one and a survivor of COVID-19.

Studio 605 Fine Art Celebrates One Year Anniversary

Studio 605 Fine Art began in 2021 and was started by April Clay. April has always loved creating art since she was a child and rediscovered this love as an adult after she was diagnosed with Chronic Myeloid Leukemia (CML) in 2016. Art became a means of therapy for April and five years later with much love and encouragement from her family and friends, Studio 605 Fine Art came to life and opened its doors! April loves working with others, bringing art to the community, and encouraging others to get in touch with their artistic side. At the end of the day, April cares most about her customer feeling connected to art. Nothing brings her more joy than seeing other people smile.

Women's Leadership Series Returns for Year Three

The Chamber is excited to announce the return of the AHOP Women's Leadership Series for a third year. The series had sold out the last two years.

AHOP Women’s Leadership Series provides empowering opportunities for women to grow in their leadership roles within their organizations. Discussion is focused on the book How Women Rise: Break the 12 Habits Holding You Back from Your Next Raise, Promotion, Or Job. The program will take place on the third Tuesday of the month from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm from January 17 through May 16, 2023 in the Seneca Regional Chamber of Commerce's conference room.
