October 13, 2026-Money management is important, but it's not the destination. It's the vehicle that helps us support the ones we love and pursue meaningful adventures. Seeing my daughter and Leland on this Grand Canyon journey is a reminder of what truly matters.
My oldest, my daughter Lara and boyfriend, Leland took an epic, 122-day journey north from their hometown, Santa Cruz, north to Canada-Vancouver, then Whistler, then east to Grand Cache, AB and Mount Robson, the tallest peak in the Canadian Rockies, and nearby Berg Lake, then to Duluth, MN, then Calumet, MI (Keweenaw Peninsula in Michigan's Upper Peninsula), then Mackinac Island, then to visit us in Ann Arbor. It was wonderful to have them here!
