What a joy to find this resource! May you also be comforted:
God, Our Hope, how can we hold onto hope when storms gather and grow greater each year? How can we hold onto hope when wars wreak havoc? How do we hold onto hope when we can almost see the heat rising off the pavement? Maybe, just maybe, we have hope, because we believe in you—a God who has a way of rooting for... read or listen to this prayer for all of us today.

MISSION u 2025:
Practicing Hope Together
Join us this summer at Mission u for meaningful worship, lessons that speak truth, and time to fellowship with others. Many of us look forward to gathering at Mission u every year to continue a fellowship of learning, sharing and laughing. Perhaps the greatest strength of Mission u is the community it engenders!
Together we'll explore what it means to practice hope in God even when things seem to be falling apart. At Mission u we are in community and "learn together for the transformation of the world."
ALL ARE WELCOME!
3-day Retreat at McMurry University • Virtual Evening Class • Virtual Morning Class • Virtual Evening Class in Spanish
Click for full information about this summer's Mission u, including the different formats available, the young clergywomen who will be our Study Leaders, scholarships available, dates, pricing, book, and more.

WORDS OF LOVE: A Healing Journey with the Ten Commandments
This is an amazing look at the Ten Commandments! Author Eugenia Anne Gamble has knowledge of Hebrew word origins that gives clarification and a deeper meaning to these Ten Commandments. In Hebrew scripture, these are not called commandments, but rather words or utterances. These are not the hard and fast "rules" we are expected to follow. She presents these with an in-depth understanding of how God wants us to live in this way because of His love for us.
Gamble also takes us a step further to explore all the ways we might consider in our efforts to live by these Ten Words. This was thought-provoking, meaningful, and transformative for me!
This book is from the 2025 UWFaith Reading Program list in the Spiritual Growth category. Living by the Ten Words deepens our relationship with God, transforms our personal living as well as our relationships within the beloved community. Words of Love is good for personal reading, personal study or group Bible / book study.

OUR 2025 MISSION PROJECT:
The Jerri Savuto Girls Center

Members across the Conference are busy creating and collecting items for the Jerri Savuto girls. See our new Photo Album of some local UWFaith group's projects. Please share how your group is supporting our 2025 Conference Mission Project. See pictures of UWFaith of 1st Plano and 1st Denton. Most importantly, we want the JS Girls to stay safe! Now that the girls have a safe center to call home, the priority is to build a security fence to keep them safe from those who come to force them to return to unsafe situations. (There have been many attempts) Tell us about your fundraising efforts and inspire us all. Let's get that security fence built!
Full information about our 2025 Mission Project is here.
