SAFETY IN THE PARKS

While out and about in the parks, our Ranger Division would like to remind you of a few safety tips and rules for everyone to have the most enjoyable experience.

  • Do not leave valuables inside your vehicle in plain sight. Properly secure your belongings or leave them at home.
  • Carry your cell phone or have a buddy join you while exercising in the parks.
  • Speed limit in ALL parks is 15 mph, be vigilant and watch for pedestrians.
  • Dogs are required to be on a leash at all times and owners are responsible for removing pet waste.
  • No motorized vehicles, including golf carts, on trails, sidewalks or grass.
  • Please be sure all fires within a barbecue pit are extinguished prior to leaving.
  • Please be courteous to other park visitors by picking up your litter and avoiding disruptive behavior.
  • Keeping your cell phone close can not only save your life in an emergency but also aid in saving the lives of others.

To report a suspicious person, activity or vehicle of concern, call the St. Charles Police/Ranger Dispatch at (636) 949-3300. We appreciate all eyes and ears within the parks and welcome comments. General observations can be made by calling the St. Charles Parks and Recreation Department's Administration Office at (636)949-3372.
