Rest In Peace Dear Friend of Life!

Judy Bax was an ardent defender of life from the very first days of the pro-life movement. She was active in pro-life activities in Jefferson City during the 80s and became even more active later on as she joined forces with Kathy Forck at 40 Days for Life.

She was a true witness to the sanctity of life as she spent countless hours praying at the Columbia Planned Parenthood and organizing events for 40 Days for Life events. In addition to this work, she also joined the Board of Directors of Missouri Right to Life as its Treasurer approximately 10 years ago and was active in the Jefferson City chapter of Missouri Right to Life.

Judy passed away December 9th, after a recently discovered illness. She was an integral part of the pro-life community in Jefferson City and will be sorely missed. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Kenny and all her family at this sad time. Please keep them in your prayers.

Happy Retirement to Carl Landwehr!

Carl Landwehr, before his founding of the Vitae Foundation, was an aggressive organizer and fundraiser for Missouri Citizen’s for Life (MCL). In the late 70s and 80s, Carl traveled the state of Missouri doing presentations and starting chapters for MCL. At that time (pre-internet), chapters were the primary way to educate our communities and activate people for pro-life action.

In late 1990, Missouri Citizen’s for Life changed its name to Missouri Right to Life, and Carl continued to work with Missouri Right to Life even as he started the Vitae Foundation. Much of the successes in passing pro-life legislation and through MRL PACs, in electing pro-life legislators is directly related to that early development that Carl was so devoted to. He worked tireless hours promoting the pro-life cause.

Enjoy Your Retirement, Carl. It is richly deserved.
