Blue Christmas at St. Patrick's, Long Beach
Friday, December 20, 2024
6:00 pm
St Patrick's, Long Beach
310 N Cleveland
Long Beach, MS
During Advent we hear the familiar plea from Isiah “Comfort Comfort my people”. But for some—perhaps many—Christmas is anything but comforting. On Dec 20, 6 PM, the longest night of the year, we will gather in our sanctuary to remember, to grieve, to give thanks, and to share with our community in the journey through loss and sadness in the midst of a world celebrating a “most wonderful time of the year”. If you feel like God is offering a space for your sense of loss, then come and invite others who might find an hour to be in the presence of Love just the right thing in this season of waiting.

Advent Resources
In Luke’s telling of the Christmas story, startled shepherds are the first to hear that good news of great joy given to all people. Since then, through generations and generations, across the world, we keep sharing this Good News, receiving signs from God that, in the coming of Jesus Christ, we have received the greatest gift of all.
The Episcopal Church wants to help you and your congregation share that Good News with each other and your neighborhoods, especially this Advent and Christmas. Find our free resources based on invitation, the Way of Love, racial reconciliation, faith formation, and more.
