Dear friends in the Diocese of Florida:

Thanks be to God for a blessed pilgrimage throughout the diocese with the bishop nominees!

We thank you all for the strong participation in last week's Meet and Greet events. More than 300 people attended the Meet and Greet in Ponte Vedra Beach, and more than 100 people attended the Meet and Greets in Gainesville and Tallahassee. Your caring presence and insightful questions gave the nominees and their spouses a warm welcome to our diocese.

The videos linked below show full recordings of the Meet and Greet events. Each Meet and Greet had two to three breakout sessions, and each breakout session explored a different topic. The focus areas are listed below the videos.

We encourage you to watch all of the videos, since the questions and topics were different in each location.

After reviewing the unaddressed questions that were collected at the Meet and Greets, the Transition Committee opted to not have the nominees provide written answers, as the majority of questions were answered in other sessions and can be viewed in the videos.

However, we wanted to provide the nominees with another opportunity to share their thanks and thoughts following the Meet and Greets.

We asked the nominees to write letters to the Diocese of Florida sharing final thoughts following their diocesan pilgrimage. These letters are available on the website and linked below.

Please use the videos and letters as tools for discernment over the next two weeks leading up to the election. We urge you all to pray for our diocese, the nominees and their families, and those who will vote on September 11.
