JULY 2026

Pride Everlasting

As LGBTQ Pride Month comes to a close and we simmer in the celebration of our nation's 250th birthday, I've been thinking a lot about the power of pride.

Pride is more than a celebration. It's a commitment.

During Pride Month, we celebrate the courage to live authentically, to embrace one another's differences, and to build communities where everyone belongs. As we celebrate Independence Day, we're reminded of the ideals that continue to shape our nation; freedom, opportunity, and the belief that together we can create something greater than ourselves.

Those same values are alive within our AFP Fort Lauderdale/Broward County chapter.

I am proud of this chapter, not because of what we aspire to accomplish, but because of who we are. We are professionals who believe in lifting one another up. We believe that relationships matter. We believe that philanthropy has the power to change lives.

That is why our chapter continues to focus on three simple but powerful pillars:

Camaraderie. Collaboration. Community.

When we show up for one another, share our knowledge, volunteer our time, and welcome new faces into our circle, we all become stronger. Together, we create a chapter that reflects the very best of our profession. The very best of Broward County,

As we look ahead to the second half of the year, I invite you to wear your pride, not just on a T-shirt or a flag, but through your actions. Attend an event. Join a committee. Introduce yourself to someone new. Mentor an emerging professional. Find one more way to strengthen this incredible community we're building together.

Happy Everlasting Pride. Happy Everlasting Independence Day. And thank you for making our AFP Fort Lauderdale/Broward County chapter something you can be proud of.

With Gratitude,

Tony Beall

An Afternoon of Camaraderie, Collaboration & Community

Our Meet The Funders event brought together nonprofit professionals, grantmakers, and community leaders for an engaging afternoon of meaningful conversations, valuable insights, and new connections.

Attendees heard directly from an outstanding panel of funding professionals who shared their perspectives on building strong relationships, preparing competitive proposals, and navigating today's philanthropic landscape. More importantly, the event created opportunities for fundraisers to connect with one another, exchange ideas, and strengthen the relationships that help our nonprofit community thrive.

Thank you to our keynote speaker, moderator, panelists, sponsors, volunteers, and every attendee who helped make the event such a success.

Together, we're building a stronger fundraising community! One conversation, one connection, and one opportunity at a time.
