Coming soon, Shop Local Rewards Program!

The City of San Fernando is excited to launch its new Shop Local Rewards Program on Saturday, October 31! This pilot program will offer customers 5% cash-back rewards when shopping at participating San Fernando businesses.

The program is designed to encourage residents and visitors to shop locally, support our small businesses, and keep more dollars in our local economy.

The pilot will run through January 31, 2027, giving the City an opportunity to evaluate community participation, business engagement, and the program’s effectiveness in encouraging local spending. Feedback and results will help guide decisions about whether to continue, expand, or make adjustments to the program.

Shop & Stroll: Halloween Edition

San Fernando businesses and residents, join the Halloween fun!

Get ready for a spooktacular community celebration at Shop & Stroll: Halloween Edition! Join us along Maclay Avenue and San Fernando Road for trick-or-treating, festive fun, and an opportunity to connect with neighbors while supporting our amazing local businesses.

Calling all San Fernando businesses! Showcase your business, welcome local families, and introduce new customers to your products and services by participating in this fun-filled community event.

Storm, Heavy Rain, and Heavy Wind Preparedness

When storms or heavy rain is expected, the City of San Fernando encourages residents to take simple steps necessary to protect themselves from injury and their property from storm damage.

STORM AND HEAVY RAIN

Prepare for upcoming storms by checking your emergency supplies, reviewing your family plan, and keeping up with weather alerts. Take it slow on wet roads and never walk or drive through floodwater.

Need sandbags? Self-help sandbags are available at 501 First Street. We'll provide the sand and bags, but please bring a shovel (sorry, ours keep disappearing).

HEAVY WIND

Heavy winds can cause power lines to fall. This can create hazards - electrifying puddles, wet grass, and the surrounding area. Don't touch anyone or anything in contact with a downed power line. Always assume downed power lines are energized and dangerous, call 911 immediately.

Eviction Prevention Assistance Program

The Home Again Los Angeles Eviction Prevention Assistance Program is available to help eligible City of San Fernando households with up to 3 months of rental arrears assistance, providing up to $2,000 per month.

Eligibility:

Must be a City of San Fernando resident (not the San Fernando Valley or City of Los Angeles)
Must have minor children living in the household
