President Samuel C. Tolbert, Jr., DMin, and the entire NBCA Family joins the General Baptist Convention of Oklahoma, under the leadership of Reverend Everett Mack, Sr., State President, in extending our deepest condolences to the Hathorne family in the passing of Sister Della Hathorne.
Sister Hathorne transitioned from labor to reward on Saturday, October 10, 2026, at the remarkable age of 108. As the oldest member of the General Baptist Convention of Oklahoma and the Northeast District Association, she held a special and cherished place within the Baptist family.
Her connection to NBCA spanned her entire lifetime, beginning with the faithful involvement of her parents in the convention. From birth, she was part of the NBCA family, and her dedication and service at the national level continued well into the 1990s.
We honor Sister Hathorne's remarkable life and give thanks to God for the legacy of faithfulness she leaves behind.
