New Executive Director

Jen Kirby, Vision Carthage

Jen is a wife and mother who loves spending time playing and creating. She has a Bachelor of Science in Administrative Management with a minor in Marketing from Missouri State University and a Master’s in Business Administration from Baker University. She is a Certified, Prosci Change Management Practitioner.

In her spare time, she is a free-lance writer and has a weekly column. She has also authored two books on culture in the workplace.

Her career led her to a small business right after college, where she learned the ropes of building and sustaining a local small business. She then moved to the city and took a role in the insurance industry. There she honed her leadership and organization development skills. The majority of her career she spent on the people-side of the business, as a leader and a learning and development professional. Her final project was building, facilitating, and consulting on Change Management and the impact of understanding behaviors in the workplace.

Inspired by God to move back home, she left the city and moved to the country, where her and her family enjoy their land and spending time outdoors. This change embarked her on a new journey. Jen has been a part of the Vision Carthage team since April 2022 and has immersed herself in the mission to beautify and revitalize Carthage. She has been an integral part of the team, as the organization continues to grow and support the needs of the community. She also serves on the Board of Katie’s House, a pregnancy and family resource center.

She is most excited about being a Main Street Executive Director to be able to influence change and historic preservation to create a legacy for the next generation. Carthage is a city rich in history and love for its community. Many exciting things are coming to Carthage in 2023 and Jen is excited to be a part of the journey.
