In Our Prayers

We continue to offer prayers for our youth and adult volunteers who will be returning tomorrow from the Dominican Republic. Thank you for representing LAC with your faith and service. We cannot wait to hear about your experience!

As we look ahead to the Day of Service on March 1st, we give thanks for the work of our cherished Mission Partners. It is a blessing to share ministry with you!

As the season of Lent approaches, we offer ourselves to you, O Lord, during this time of preparation. May we be honest about our sins and failures, but also steadfast in our hope for your grace and our faith in your love.

Do you have a prayer request to share with our LAC community? Call our prayer line at (914) 834-1800, ext. 342.

CONGRATULATIONS!

We are pleased to share that our own Chris Templeman has been named as one of the honorees at this year's gala for the Cancer Support Community of Greater NY & CT. Thank you, Chris, for the encouragement you offer to cancer patients and their families, and congratulations on this well-deserved recognition!

LAC’s Day of Service

Saturday, March 1, 2025

8:30am – noon

Thanks to the faithful work of our Church and Community Committee, members, families, and friends of LAC will soon be teaming up with our valued Mission Partners for a special "Day of Service." On Saturday, March 1st, we will gather in Russell Hall for a light breakfast before heading out to complete an array of projects to support our partners in ministry and assist our neighbors in need. Specific projects include:

  • The Sharing Shelf collects gently-used clothing for redistribution to children from infancy to age 19. Volunteers will sort new and used clothing at The Sharing Shelf in Port Chester from 10am – 1pm. Ages 14-17 with adult. Pre-registration required.

  • H.O.P.E. provides hunger relief to a diverse client population out of their New Rochelle location. Volunteers will clean and organize the kitchen, food pantry and storage area. Ages 10 – 14 with adult.

  • The STEM Alliance provides our community’s only summer enrichment program for low-income youth. Volunteers will help make group signs for camper groups. Ages 10 and up.

  • Midnight Run is a ministry that provides clothing, food, and personal connection to homeless and at-risk residents of New York City. Volunteers will prepare lunches and toiletry bags for upcoming runs. Ages 10 and under with adult.

  • The Larchmont/Mamaroneck Hunger Task Force addresses food insecurity in our community. Volunteers will create (& decorate) snack bags for children. 4 – 5 snacks per bag, no nuts or hard candy. This project is to be completed at home; drop off to LAC by March 16.

VOLUNTEER LIVESTREAM OPERATORS NEEDED!

Ever wonder how LAC's weekly worship livestream gets produced? Behind the scenes each week, Christina O'Neill is running this video control board, keeping our cameras fixed on the action.

If you have any interest in learning how to operate this technology and serving as a backup operator, we would love to train you. The equipment is user-friendly, and your contribution would be a great help to our worship ministry.

Email Rev. Bynum at pbynum@lacny.org if you are interested!
