| | Golden Girls & Boys Club Luncheon | | |
This Saturday
Saturday, June 13 at 11:30 AM
We are celebrating our Golden Girls and Boys on THIS Saturday, June 13 at 11:30 am with a luncheon in the Parish Hall. If you or your spouse are 80 or over, you are the honoree: no cooking or baking or salad-making. You are our guests! We will have ham and side salads, cake, and lots of conversation.
This is a parish-wide party; those of us who can’t claim Golden status are encouraged and invited to attend. The only difference is that we do the salad-making to share with the honorees: green salads, potato salads, fruit salads, deviled eggs, dips and spreads, nuts and olives, cheese and crackers. All are welcome! If you can't attend but would like to honor these cherished members of our church, feel free to make a salad and drop it off in the Parish Hall.
If you do plan to attend, please RSVP by calling the church office at (256) 880-0247.

Pray the Rosary
THIS Friday, June 12 12:05 PM
Join us to Pray the Rosary tomorrow, June 12, and every other Friday at 12:05 pm in the Nave of the church. Each prayer session lasts around half an hour and includes the reading of each scripture passage for the five decades of either the Joyful, Sorrowful, Glorious, or Luminous Mysteries of the Holy Rosary. If you’ve never prayed the Rosary before, we always have Rosary beads available and written directions to help you fully participate in this meaningful, scriptural, and contemplative prayer practice.

Newcomer Contacts
Volunteer Opportunity
Your Invite, Welcome, and Connect Committee is planning to offer a personalized point of contact or "coach" to our newcomers should they desire one. As a volunteer in this role, you would be the familiar face at church who helps ease them into our community or the person they can ask tough questions like, "Where is the Narthex?" and "What's the deal with all the lobsters?" We have begun to create a list of St. Thomas parishioners who want to be placed in a catalog of coaches covering a range of backgrounds, interests, and demographics to match with our newcomers. To volunteer, look for volunteer forms in Information Hall or complete an on-line volunteer form here.
| |
You don't have to be the reigning St. Thomas Jeopardy champion or an esteemed Episcopal theologian to participate. If you enjoy sharing the warm St. Thomas spirit, we hope you'll join the roster.
For questions about this ministry, contact Kurt Dietz at kabhmk2017@gmail.com.
