A Better Way to
Hockey Conditioning

Back in “THE DAY” hockey conditioning was far from scientific. Coaches would often skate their players hard, right from the start of a practice, without a proper warm up or cool down, and with total disregard for potential injury

Needless to say few players enjoyed the conditioning experience, but it was a requirement, a necessary evil to get in shape for tryouts. Fortunately, coaching methods have evolved for the betterment of the players with a more scientific and purposeful approach. .

The human body consists of physiological systems (functions of the body), so when talking about physical conditioning, the scientific approach now recognizes the different physiologies. Each is unique and requires a different type of training (stimulus) to effectively improve overall conditioning.
We offer 6 Conditioning Program / Prep for Evaluations this summer for ages 2010 - 2005. Check them out HERE!

Spring 2022
Adult Hockey
Bradley Mersereau Memorial
Award Recipient:

Orlin Lavallie
Orlin started to skate and play hockey when he was 30, in Dubai. There were no practices, just that 5 minute warm up before games. The only coaching Orlin received was “just get the puck out of our zone”, and “get yourself in front of their net”. Around 12 years ago, home for the summer, he signed up for a Tucker Hockey camp, and instantly loved it.

Orlin has played hockey with or against the majority of his friends, resulting in some of his greatest memories. Additionally, it’s kept him feeling young and healthy. So. What is not to Love?

Minor Hockey
Danny Cammack Memorial
Award Recipient:

Kingston Dery
Kingston is 13 years old and has played hockey for 6 years. He loves all sports, but hockey is what Kingston is most passionate about.

He recently had a hockey injury causing a break in his Fibula and Tibia. This left Kingston in a full leg cast for 3 months resulting in missing most of the past hockey season. He was motivated to work hard to recover and gain back his strength and that hard work paid off. Kingston was able to return and be placed on a team in February.

Kingston, it’s great to know that you have fully recovered after your bad hockey injury! You are a very dedicated and resilient person. We look forward to seeing you at the rink this summer!
Congratulations Kingston on being awarded the Spring 2022 Danny Cammack Memorial Award!
A Gift from Brody

Brody, a past participant of Tucker Hockey, is generously paying forward a free Tucker Hockey program to a deserving player.

The program was awarded to Brody a year ago through our Danny Cammack Memorial Award, but Brody's family has since relocated and have decided to pay the free program forward.
We are proud to announce that the winner of the free program is Jaden Dao! With the award, he joined us this Spring for our 3 on 3 program!
Jaden likes that the sport of hockey teaches him a lot of new things about the game, how’s it’s played and he gets to make new friends. As well, Jaden feels it gives him confidence and helps push himself to succeed.
Coach Rex's message to Jaden is "We like it when you smile on the ice!
Keep watching, listening, and working hard and you will do well. Remember – head up, knees bent and stick on the ice!"
