NTM has Centerless Grinding capability and capacity

In addition to NTM's custom tooling build capability and precision regrinding and sharpening services, NTM has a Tru-Tech Revolution CNC Centerless grinder onsite.

Using a Perimetric 3-point work holder and a polyquartz base, this 7000 pound machine can produce blank and finished OD’s with a concentricity below .00003” and diameters within .00005” We use this machine for plunge, form, peel and through-feed grinding parts up to 2.75”.

In conjunction with our TRU TECH T23X for larger parts, using centers up to 10”, it allows us to do our blanking in-house, reducing lead times.

Employee Spotlight: Bob Liska

Our March featured Employee is Bob Liska. Bob has been with NTM since 2009, and is an integral part of the efficiency and success of our CNC machining department. Bob is always ready to lend a hand on projects and help out his fellow teammates.

Name: Bob Lisk

How long have you been at NTM? 15 years

What was your first week like? Everyone made me feel welcome, and they said “If you are into Cars , Trucks or Motorcycles you will fit right in here”.

Any notable memories over time? What has changed?

I have enjoyed working on fellow employees’ Car and Motorcycle projects and going to car and Motorcycle shows with them for the past 15 years,

As a company, NTM tries to stay up to date with New and Different Machines and improved processes in all the departments.

What are you doing now? Trying to make all new and old employees feel welcome at NTM, and sharing my knowledge of work, hobbies and life. On a day-to-day basis, I machine customer parts on an OKK and a Mitsubishi Vertical Milling Center.

What do you do outside of work? What are your hobbies? I enjoy working on mine and friends’ vintage cars.
