Kicking Things Off, Taking Big Steps, and Starting a New Chapter!

Greetings!

Fall is here, and with it comes a season of change and new beginnings! A new school year is a big transition, but we’re here to support you all every step of the way. I'm thrilled to say that we have had such a successful transition for all of our classes. Our Pandas have settled into the routine and adapted well to the new environment away from home. This is a testament to our dedicated & nurturing staff building connections and lasting relationships. I look forward to learning everyone's names and watching them grow!

Please enjoy this Welcome from our wonderful Parent Advisory Committee co-chairs, Elizabeth Niles & Mead Sissman. A special thank you to both our dedicated co-chairs as they embark on another year of outstanding leadership. We also thank Lauren Ottenhoff for organizing our Welcome Coffees on the first days of school.

We had such a blast at Back to School Night! I hope that the overview of our policies and procedures was informative and that you enjoyed becoming a student for the night! If you couldn't attend, you can view the Back to School Night Presentation linked below.

PreK Literacy Curriculum

As we begin the school year, we want to share a little more about what learning looks like in our Pre-K classrooms at CCPC and our newly adopted curriculum, The Creative Curriculum.

At CCPC, we believe that children learn best through meaningful, hands-on experiences and that play is an essential part of that learning. A play-based approach does not mean that learning is unstructured or that children are simply “playing all day.” Instead, our teachers intentionally create experiences that let children explore, problem-solve, communicate, collaborate, and build the skills they need for kindergarten and beyond.

Popsicles on the Playground

Candace Rouchon, Katie Rosenthal & Leah Penner Gay kicked off one of our many social events by coordinating the successful Popsicle on the Playground event. With Labor Day being later in the year, we gathered on the playground to welcome new families after the first partial week of school! This event fostered a warm and inclusive environment for new and returning families, setting a positive tone for the school year ahead.

Thank you, Candace, Katie & Leah, for making this gathering a memorable occasion and a continued CCPC tradition!

CCPC Family BBQ

The Fall Family BBQ may have had a rainy-day twist, but that didn’t stop us from making the most of it! Thanks to everyone for rolling with us and pivoting on a game-time decision; the BBQ went off without a hitch!

We hope you had a chance to connect with new faces, catch up with familiar ones, and enjoy a fun-filled day together. From the Bubble Lady and Petting Zoo to the Split String Band, there was plenty of fun to go around, rain and all!

Thank you for your flexibility, positive spirit, and for helping make the Fall Family BBQ such a wonderful success. We couldn’t have done it without you!

I want to extend a special thank you to all the parent volunteers who helped with setup and cleanup. Your time and effort were invaluable. Most importantly, I’d like to express my deepest gratitude to our PAC BBQ Chairs, Matt Sharbaugh & Ashley Feasley, for their hard work and dedication in coordinating this unforgettable event. Your efforts made the day truly special for everyone!
