The Georgia Court of Appeals recently addressed the question of whether they should set aside a settlement involving the minor children of an employee who was killed at work. The Court of Appeals declined to set aside the settlement, finding that the probate court did not preclude a settlement without its approval.

I have attached a detailed discussion of this decision which was prepared by Brett Penley of our office which is available by clicking the link to download the PDF. If you have any questions, or would like a copy of the full decision, please feel free to contact Brett directly along with any other attorneys in our office and we will be always be happy to assist with any questions you may have on this, or any other, Georgia workers' compensation law issue.

Many Thanks,

Doug
