Dear PARA Member,

PARA is looking for a PARA retiree volunteer who is interested in overseeing the management of its website, www.paranynj.org.

Typical duties and responsibilities include:

·      Collaborate with content creators, members of the Board, and its website maintenance vendor, Potomac Digitek (Podi)

·      Maintain and optimize website performance, monitor website analytics and user behavior, and prepare regular reports on website performance and use.

·      Manage the maintenance contract with Podi

·      Coordinate efforts provided by PARA’s email provider, Lantec Systems

·      Provide support for mass mailings via Constant Contact

·      Monitor and distribute and/or answer “General” questions received via the website

·      Lead collaborative efforts, in coordination with our technical partners, to identify, analyze and resolve website operational and performance issues that may arise periodically

This work can be performed from any location. Residency in the NY/NJ Metropolitan Region is not a requirement.

The Port Authority Retirees Association (PARA), a not-for-profit corporation, was formed in 1989 to promote the welfare of retirees of the Port Authority (and PATH). That is accomplished by PARA acting as spokesperson for Port Authority retirees. We foster and encourage legislation that maintains or improves our circumstances primarily as it affects the pensions of the New York State Retirement System. PARA has some 4,000 members residing in 41 states and 15 countries. PARA is affiliated with the Retired Public Employees Association (RPEA) representing more than 500,000 members throughout New York State.
