Old Ottawa East Community Newsletter
| | Events Around Old Ottawa East | | | |
Thank you Old Ottawa East for the amazing turnout we have had so far at our weekly Thursday Community BBQs! We are thrilled to see so many neighbours enjoying the summer weather and relaxing with an easy BBQ dinner!
While CAG does facilitate the BBQs, these events are all volunteer-run, which means that we rely on the wonderful folks who lend their time and effort on a weekly basis. Thank you to everyone who has volunteered so far this summer, we couldn't have done it without you all!

Calling for Community Volunteers
With a BBQ every week until September 11th, we are looking for more volunteers to help at our Thursday Community BBQs. Whether you're new to the neighbourhood, need to collect volunteer hours for high school or looking to get more involved in the OOE community, it's a great way to meet your neighbours and give back!
Volunteer shifts are short and fun (no more than 60 minutes), and no prior experience is necessary. Everyone is welcome to lend a helping hand when they can, to ensure that we can keep running these BBQs throughout the summer.
Interested in volunteering, but can't make it this week? All of our volunteer sign-up sheets have been posted on our Get Involved webpage, so you can register to volunteer in advance. It's never too early to sign up! We can't wait to see you there.
