Welcome Security Officer Jamie to the BVMPL Team!
We're thrilled to introduce a new member to our library family: Security Officer Jamie. Jamie is here to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for all our patrons. In addition to her work as a security officer, Jamie is working to achieve a promotion to Second Lieutenant, focusing on emergency services. Her daughter paved the way, encouraging each other in their journey.
For those considering a similar path, Jamie's advice is clear and enthusiastic: "Jump right in as it is a great organization where you can learn and grow in many different areas whether it is in aviation emergency services, military, leadership or simply building friendships and to just have fun."
| |
Jamie unleashes her creativity outside of work through drawing and glass etching or actively participating in her children’s many adventures. She credits her husband’s dedication to helping her succeed. Next time you’re in the library, stop by and say hello to Jamie. She loves meeting new people! | | | |

Teen Headquarters
Walk-in hours are times when library staff is present, and technology and gaming are available to use in HQ. During regular library hours when walk-in times are unavailable, HQ will be available for individual or group study by teens in grades 6-12 by accessing a key from the Adult Information Desk. Teens must show a school or photo ID to library staff to use the room. If teens do not have a school ID, they can ask to have one made by the library staff -- stop by the Children's Information Desk to inquire.
