Spotlight on Student Creativity: NES 4th Grade Media Project
Our talented 4th graders at Narragansett Elementary School recently wrapped up an exciting media project under the guidance of educator, Mr. Brien Jennings, Digital Media Specialist. Each classroom selected a small film crew to take part in a hands-on filmmaking experience, from concept to post-production.
Students met weekly to brainstorm storylines, write scripts, and learn how to use filming equipment safely. They took on roles as directors, cinematographers, editors, and sound designers, giving them a true behind-the-scenes look at what goes into creating a short film.
These creative collaborations resulted in some truly impressive short videos, and now you can check them out for yourself. Click below to view the full YouTube playlist and celebrate the storytelling skills of our 4th grade media teams.

We’re proud to showcase the imagination, collaboration, and technical skills these young filmmakers brought to the screen.

A Successful First NHS Summer Agriscience Camp!
From July 7 - 11, Narragansett High School welcomed middle school students from across Rhode Island for a week of hands-on learning in animal care, plant science, and sustainable food systems, which was led by NHS educators Zack Sirowich and Matthew Pottle.
Campers explored nature, identified local flora, handled chickens, collected and processed eggs, dissected flowers, and even got their hands dirty designing landscapes and cleaning the coop.
Thank you to all the students and families who helped make this first year a success. We’re already looking ahead to what’s next for the NHS Agriscience Program!
